Monte Cristo Sandwich Sliders

Monte Cristo Sandwiches usually require many steps. This recipe simplifies the process, cutting the usual required time it takes to make traditional sandwiches AND tastes just as amazing, if not way better! You will absolutely love this easy recipe. It takes about 20 minutes to make and can be eaten any time of day! Quick to make and super tasty.

Ingredients:
  • 1 package (12 rolls) Hawaiian bread
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 Tablespoons heavy cream
  • Salt & Pepper
  • Dash of Cayenne
  • 3-4 Tablespoons strawberry or raspberry jam
  • 1 Tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 6 slices Swiss cheese
  • 8 oz Ham, chopped
  • 8 oz Turkey, chopped
  • Confectioners sugar for dusting
  • Garlic confit (optional)

Preheat oven to 350 degrees (325 degrees for convection ovens). Remove rolls from package and cut them in half. In a bowl, beat eggs with heavy cream, cayenne and salt + pepper. Pour  the egg mixture into a nonstick (or greased) 9x13 pan and coat the bottom. Place rolls open-faced into pan and top with Swiss cheese. Bake for 10 minutes.

In a small bowl, mix jam an mustard, set aside. Chop ham and turkey, set aside.

After 10min, remove rolls from the oven. Spread jam mixture on one side. Top with chopped ham and turkey. Slice the middle of the rolls separating the top halves with bottom halves and place the top halves on top! Use a spatula to press down on the sandwiches and place back in the oven for 5 minutes.

Dust with confectioners sugar and slice into 12 servings. To take the sliders onto the next level, smash a clove of garlic confit over the top. Enjoy!
